Now is the time to relax and enjoy the warm summer weather. There's no better time than today to operate your beloved radio controlled equipment. The diplomatic breezes and warm sunshine are calling you! No matter what your R/C preference, this is the optimal season to fly, sail, race or hover. And, the extra daylight hours offers abundance of opportunity to operate your vehicle.
If you are an Rc plane or Rc helicopter operator and the days are too breezy, check out the early morning and evenings before dusk. These times usually have less wind and are ideal for flying. I have a summer program that allows me to fly in the early morning. I then payment my batteries during the day and am able to fly again in the evening. I have just about doubled my flying time by following this schedule! In the evenings I usually set aside to heal any damage that might have occurred during my last flights. (My lands are not always perfect!)
RC Helicopter
My Apab Angel Airbus Rc Plane has been a perfect fit for me. Its lightweight rugged building holds up highly well under varied flight conditions. And, it can take a rough landing with ease. On calm days I like to fly my H83 2-Channel Hawk Helicopter. Its simplicity makes it easy to fly and with the training landing gear easy to land softly.
Now is the time to get your Rc boat into the water. I have quite a large pond around and it offers me the opportunity to start my R/C boat when the windy conditions are too much to fly. I usually take my folding lawn chair and set it up in the bank which gives me a clear view of the about 90% of the pond. Any other Rc boat enthusiasts have joined me and we have a lot of fun piloting our boats and teasing each other on their pilotage skill level! My Bm2 Mini Tracer Rc Boat is a great size for this pond!
One fellow has an Hv80 Rc Hovercraft. He enjoys taking off from the beach and tries to run circles around the slower boats. He then lands the Rc hovercraft back on the beach where he started. So far he has not had to get his feet wet.
Last week, I took my nephew to the park with my off-road Rc car and Rc truck. We met a father and son duo that was racing their Rc trucks along a winding cart path. Since our frequencies were different, we were able to race each other up and down the unoccupied path. It was a lot of fun, and I was nothing else but surprised to find my nephew controlling his car so expertly! My nephew was racing an Ex5 Exciter Monster Truck and I drove my Czt Shark 4 Wheel Drive Off-road Rc Buggy. It was great fun! every person laughed when I ran into a bush and could not back out!
The boy's father went to get a tank he had in the trunk of his car. It was a 1:24 Scale Rc Defense Force Airsoft Tank. It nothing else but fired 6mm battle bullets! He tried to fire upon us as we raced by. All in all it was a great time. We collected our Rc vehicles and headed home remembering the fun we had.
Rc Fun in the Sun!
